A unique concert experience that combines mime and music in an imaginative way to introduce young audiences and their families to the life and music of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart.  During these concerts, 16-year-old violinist Jiwen Lei, winner of the Miami-Dade County Public Schools Mozart Concerto Competition, will be soloist in the first movement of Mozart’s Violin Concerto No. 5 in A major, K. 219. Also, baritone David Malis, assistant professor in the Department of Vocal Performance at the University of Miami Frost School of Music, will sing Papageno’s Aria from The Magic Flute.

The incomparable Cleveland Orchestra perform Beethoven's Fifth Symphony under the direction of guest conductor Michael Stern. Also on the program, pianist Shai Wosner performs Mozart Piano Concerto No. 21 ("Elvira Madigan".)

This performance is presented in partnership with the Greater Miami Jewish Federation in celebration of Israel at 60, with thanks to the Braman Family Foundation.
