at Miami Lakes Drive (NW 154th Street)

Tarab consist of eight cellists, all graduates of the Eastman School of Music, dedicated to the commission and performance of new music. Expressly accessible to the public and virtuosic in nature, their performance demonstrates a wide variety of styles. An audience will learn much about the process of commissioning, be introduced to exciting music of the 21st Century, and have the rare pleasure of hearing a cello octet.

Tarab has played together since 2000, and performed in New England, New York and France, in person and through electronic media. Currently serving a residency at the University of South Florida during the month of January, they bring with them as soloist, Scott Kluksdahl, Professor of Cello at the University.
